About

Our school is named after Richard and Kitty Spence for their 63 years of service to the students of Aldine I.S.D. Richard Spence was a coach and teacher at Aldine Jr. High (now Aldine Middle School), an assistant principal at Aldine High School, and served in a supervisory and counseling position at Central Office. Kitty Spence also taught at Aldine Jr. High and MacArthur High School, was a counselor at Eisenhower High School and MacArthur High School, and was an assistant principal at Aldine High School until she retired in 1989. Kitty Spence continues to be involved in Aldine I.S.D. by serving as a consultant in the Human Resource Department. We feel honored to have our school named after these two dedicated Aldine I.S.D. educators.
